Assignment 09 - Props 1st Pass, Erin Han

Pinocchio is an inanimate, object resembling a bird or group of birds, discovered underwater by Geo. Nesting dolls, walking stick, mobile, bird house, hat rack, boomerang, birdbath, weathervane, trash can, statue...part of me thinks that the more everyday the bird/object, the more tragically precious it could be to Geo. (Like, we NEVER thought pigeons would go extinct...and now look!)

Geo's underwater vehicle. Like with the greenhouse, my main issue is figuring out whether the "sub" should be newly invented, or adapted from a modern vehicle found on the ocean floor. A combination of both would be best. I'm very drawn to the idea of a plane or helicopter flying underwater, as improbable as it may be. How the vehicle moves is a consideration...

Assignment 05 - Characters 1st Pass, Erin Han

Hero: "Geo" (Geppetto). Not the most dynamic poses, but he's a very reserved, intellectual kind of guy. Choosing an age will be tough...Also finding the line between hope/determination and grief/despair.

Sidekick: Figaro/Cleo. Striving for the 2-in-1 feel, without the sense of two separate characters. He has to be a mutant, but also be the endearing plucky pet/companion for Geo.
Villain: The Poachman (coachman). Another complex idea - someone who is both a hideous mutant and a charismatic public figure. Playing with masks, holograms, makeup, two-face situation...

Character: Chewbacca. Animal: TaunTaun. Prop: Robotic Hand. Story Moment: Imperial Walker Scene.

Started with some sketches of some Looney Toons characters, to get a feel for how they are drawn. This is the first time I've really studied them, and man they are crazy! Must learn more about Looney Toons....
